Al Strobel of Twin Peaks has passed away at the age of 83  

Goodbye “one-armed man”

Actor Al Strobel , who became popularly known as “Mike” from the hit TV series, Twin Peaks , has passed away at the age of 83.

The news was brought to the attention of the public by the producer of the series Sabrina Sutherland stating the following: ” It is through the darkness of the future past and our great sadness that we say goodbye to Al Strobel. He is an irreplaceable man and will always be an important part of the Twin Peaks family “ .

In fact, the cast and many members of the crew of the series remembered Strobel fondly. Co-creator Mark Frost said he was a warm and wonderful person, while Dana Ashbrook said he was a great storyteller and admired his skills.

Al Strobel was born in Seattle, Washington in 1939. He lost his left arm in a car accident at age 17. He worked as an architect and as an actor before first working with David Lynch in 1989.

Strobel also starred in a few other films, including 1990’s Megaville, which also starred members of Twin Peaks. He also starred in USA Network’s Child of Darkness.

He retired from acting in the early 2000s and retired after Twin Peaks: The Return.
