Please upgrade Google Chrome immediately – Serious security flaw found

Google recommends that you update immediately

Google in its announcement recommends that you immediately upgrade Google Chrome and make sure you are running the newest version of its browser, as a serious vulnerability has been detected.

This “zero-day ” security gap leaves you vulnerable to an attack or data theft, and the newest Chrome update ensures that it closes this hole.

This critical code vulnerability (CVE-2022-3723) exists in the V8 javascript engine used by Chrome and was first discovered by an Avast security researcher on October 25. The irony of the case is that while Google developers were completing a package of fixes related to their security, they received the above notice from the well-known company in the field of cyber security.

The tech giant has found six more such zero-day exploits in Chrome this year alone. What makes zero-day vulnerabilities particularly dangerous is the fact that they were previously undiagnosed and a patch should be developed as soon as possible to fix the problem.
