Constantine 2: Was the movie with Keanu Reeves finally canceled or not? – Warner Bros. he answers

With DC ‘s reorganization and James Gunn and Peter Safran ‘s brand new plan , many fans are wondering if Constantine 2 has been canceled or not. More specifically, DC canceled several movies a few months ago, but as Keanu Reeves officially stated , the Constantine sequel “lives and reigns” still.

A spokesperson for Warner Bros. Discovery , spoke to Entertainment Weekly  and stated that Constantine 2 is well on its way, despite all the debacle with DC’s new plans. However, he has not released any other information on when filming will begin or when to expect it in theaters.

Recently, the director of the first film, Francis Lawrence gave some very interesting information about the sequel, which will surely make fans happy.

I think John Constantine is a funny character in a dark and comedic way. I would definitely like to add more of that sarcastic and cynical sense of humor of his to the continuation of the story.

The screenplay will be by Akiva Goldsman , produced by JJ Abrams ‘ Bad Robot .

Constantine had grossed around $230 million at the box office on a budget of around $100 million, so it was a bona fide box office success for Warner Bros.
