In his new interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 26-year-old Marvel star, known for his role as Spider-Man, revealed that he has stayed away from alcohol all this time, as playing the protagonist of The Crowded Room seriously affected his mental health . In the series “The Crowded Room” Holland played a man arrested in 1979 for his involvement in the Rockefeller Center shooting, who was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder. 

” I saw myself in the character, but also in my personal life,” Holland said. ” I remember having a bit of a meltdown at home and thinking, “I’m going to shave my head. I have to shave my head because I have to get rid of this character”. And, obviously, we were in the middle of filming, so I decided not to do it… It was something I’ve never experienced before. “

” I’m no stranger to the physical aspects of the job, doing this whole action movie thing. But the psychological side, it really took a toll on me and it took me a long time to recover and come back to reality. “
