South Korea wants to be the first to bring 6G that will “unite” the virtual world with reality  

He wants to release it in 2028

South Korea announced a few hours ago that it will launch its own 6G network using a brand-new – world-class – technology, as well as bringing advanced next-generation mobile networks. At the same time, it will also strengthen its network chains. The news is brought to the public by gsmarena and was revealed by the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT .

South Korea wants to incentivize local companies to produce materials and equipment for 6G development. Many companies are currently studying 6G and this whole project will cost about 482 million dollars.

South Korea’s goal is to be at the forefront of 6G and roll it out first. It also hopes that it can surpass its competition by 30% or more in various 6G patents.

In fact, Zhang Yongtao, the deputy general manager of Ericsson China Technology Department says that 6G will unite the ” virtual world with reality and at the same time bring holographic communication from science fiction to reality” .

As it aims to be the first to bring 6G, South Korea wants to launch it by 2028, two years later than originally intended.
