How Do You Live: The new film of the legendary Hayao Miyazaki with Studio Ghibli has a date! (PHOTO)  

He will play in the summer in Japan

The legendary Hayao Miyazaki of Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro and other beloved films will return for one more film, with Studio Ghibli of course . As we’ve known for a while now, the award-winning director has been preparing How Do You Live for years, and now we know when it will premiere.

As Studio Ghibli revealed on Twitter, the film is set to hit theaters in Japan on July 14, 2023 . At the moment, however, we do not know exactly when it will reach our parts. In fact, this announcement was accompanied by a new poster, which you can see below:

The information we have so far about How Do You Live is minimal and all we know is that it is based on a 1937 novel by author Genzaburo Yoshino. This particular novel follows a 15-year-old boy in Tokyo whose father has died and now lives with his uncle. In fact, it is said to be Miyazaki’s favorite book from his childhood.

Let us remind you that this is the great return of Miyazaki to a feature film after many years. The last feature film he had directed was in 2013 entitled “The Wind Rises”.
