Student cancels fine for illegal parking with ChatGPT
He wrote her the entire appeal
22-year-old student Millie Houlton received a $70 fine for illegal parking in New York. Houlton felt the call was unfair, but was tempted to pay it because she didn’t have time to pursue the case due to her busy schedule with the faculty. But he considered turning to ChatGPT for help.
The fine wasn’t fair, but trying to articulate my speech to say the right things is hard enough, so I thought maybe ChatGPT could do it for me. So I put in all the details of where I was and when it happened, why it was unfair and of course the details of the call. He gave me a personalized reply with perfect syntax in an instant.

The response generated by ChatGPT appears to have been enough for the city council to withdraw the fine.
It’s not the first time ChatGPT has been used to cancel a fine, as last month, Shaun Bosley from Brighton, UK successfully canceled a £100 fine.
