Bayonetta 3: Bayonetta’s voice changes and her place is taken by…Samus!
Hellena Taylor will not reprise her role
Bayonetta 3 is going to be released worldwide on October 28th and a few minutes ago, a piece of news came to light that fans of the franchise will not like very much. In particular, it became known that Hellena Taylor , who lends her voice to Bayonetta, in the first two games, will not be in the 3rd chapter of the series.
Yes, don’t expect to hear the main character having the same voice as the previous games in the series. According to a letter sent by PlatinumGames to Game Informer , Taylor will not be in the English voice of Bayonetta after all.
PlatinumGames’ letter said:
Various circumstances ultimately made it difficult for Hellena Taylor to reprise her role. We held auditions to find the new voice of Bayonetta and offered the role to Jennifer Hale, who we thought was an incredible fit for the character.
We understand the concerns some fans have about changing the voice at this point in the series, but Jennifer’s performance was beyond what we could have imagined. We are confident that her performance will exceed the expectations of our fans.
Hale has also given her voice in games before, as she was the female Commander Shepard in the Mass Effect series, while also voicing Samus Aran in Metroid Prime.
