FAME: Warner Bros. approached Henry Cavill to return to the role of Superman
Hoping to close a new deal with him
According to a report, Warner Bros. approached a few days ago the famous actor, Henry Cavill to return as Superman in the DCEU . He, who started with Man of Steel in 2013 directed by Zack Snyder, had received quite positive reviews, but almost a decade later, we have no “news” from the DC hero.
As The Direct reports , during a conversation between Fandago ‘s Erik Davis and The Wrap’s Umberto Gonzalez on Twitter Spaces, Davis drops some information that fans won’t like. Specifically, he says that Warner Bros. tried to get in touch with Henry Cavill, in hopes of getting him to don the Superman costume again. Unfortunately, though, Cavill doesn’t seem interested in returning.
Erik Davis: What have you (Gonzalez) heard about Henry Cavill? I heard that they asked him to return, but he doesn’t want to.
Umberto Gonzalez answered the following:
The new management at Warner likes Henry Cavill, they want him as Superman, and I think they’ll try. It’s been almost ten years since we saw him in Man of Steel, but one thing I can say: I don’t think it’s over yet.
Of course, nothing is certain and we can’t know exactly what Warner told Cavill, but many fans of the hero want to see him back on the big screen as Superman.
Since it’s nothing official, it’s best to take all of the above with a grain of salt.
