Hulu’s award-winning series returns in September
Hulu has released the first official trailer for season 5 of The Handmaid’s Tale , its award-winning dystopian series starring Elisabeth Moss. Lately, the series has gained more popularity since its events coincide with many things that are happening in our own world, such as the issue of reproductive rights in the US.
Following the events of season 4, season 5 as the trailer suggests begins right after the shocking finale, as June will feel the punishment of her actions.
The new season is described as follows: “June deals with the aftermath of Commander Waterford’s murder while struggling to redefine her identity and purpose. Widowed Serena tries to raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead’s influence creeps into Canada .Commander Lawrence works with Nick and Aunt Lydia as he tries to reform Gileand and rise to power.June, Luke and Moira fight Gileand from a distance as they continue their mission to rescue and reunite with Hannah “ .
The series stars: Elisabeth Moss, Bradley Whitford, Yvonne Strahovski, Max Minghella, OT Fagbenle, Samira Wiley, Ann Dowd, Madeline Brewer, Amanda Brugel , and Sam Jaeger.
