NASA: Hear the Creepy Sound of a Black Hole in Space! (VIDEO)

If this isn’t straight out of a sci-fi horror movie then what is?

In space even if someone shouts it is known that no one will hear him. This is a fact that the 1979 movie “ Alien ” also used as a catchphrase, except in the case of a black hole.

NASA has revealed the sound a black hole makes in the void of space , and the internet is borderline terrified. Through NASA’s Twitter, a clip of the file he recorded was published, with the sound being properly mixed so that it could be heard by the human ear.

The black hole pitch was originally placed about 57 octaves below middle C , being imperceptible to the human ear. Astronomers, however, managed through the special process of “soundization” to translate the data into sound, so that it can be perceived by the human ear.

Listen to the sound of a black hole:

The eerie sounds come from a supermassive black hole at the center of the Perseus galaxy cluster , which is about 55 million light-years from Earth . In fact, in its post, NASA refers to the misconception that there is no sound in space:

“The misconception that there is no sound in space comes because most of space is a vacuum, which provides no way for sound waves to travel. A galaxy cluster has so much gas that we have captured the actual sound. This is where it is amplified and mixed with other data, to hear a black hole!”

The reactions on social media

Thousands of Twitter users commented on NASA’s revelation, and upon hearing the audio, most described it as “demonic,” “haunting,” or “coming from a horror movie.” Check out some of the tweets below:
