Do you remember the thriller ” Searching ” with John Cho that made the computer screen thriller genre known to everyone? We’ve known for a while that Searching 2 was coming, and now we’ve got a first taste.

Creator Aneesh Chaganty returns with the spiritual sequel titled “Missing” starring Storm Reid (known from the ” Euphoria ” series) and the first trailer released will have you staring wildly at your screen. However, this time he left the directing duties to Nick Johnson and Will Merrick, who had edited ” Run ” – Chaganty’s previous psychological thriller.

Reid also stars: Nia Long  (“ Boyz n the Hood ”),  Joaquim de Almeida  (“ Fast Five ”; “ Desperado ”),  Tim Griffin  (“ Grey’s Anatomy “),  Daniel Henney  (“ My Lovely Sam Soon “), and Amy Landecker  (“ Transparent “).

The official plot of “Missing”:

From the people behind Searching comes Missing, a gripping mystery that will make you question how well you know the people closest to you. When her mother (Nia Long) disappears while vacationing in Colombia with her new boyfriend, June’s (Storm Reid) search for answers is stymied by international bureaucracy. Trapped thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, June creatively uses all the latest technology at her disposal to try and find her before it’s too late. But as she digs deeper, her digital sleuthing raises more questions than answers… and when June uncovers secrets about her mother, she discovers that she never really knew her.

When does it come out in theaters?

Missing is scheduled to be released on January 20, 2023, although its premiere in Greece is still unknown.
