Windows 12: Microsoft probably accidentally revealed the first image!

As we told you in the summer, Microsoft intends to return to its old 3-year schedule for releasing new major versions of Windows, so Windows 12 will most likely arrive in 2024 . Of course, the operating system has not been officially announced yet, but now it looks like we have the first details.

Specifically, during Microsoft’s recent Ignite show, the first image of Windows 12 seems to have “leaked”, immediately making the rounds of the internet. Of course, there is a possibility that the image is just a concept and does not concern the design of the next version of the operating system. However, according to the Windows Central report , Microsoft’s designers are indeed aiming for something similar to what was seen in the live stream.

So Microsoft indeed seems to have accidentally revealed the first image of Windows 12! According to her, the Taskbar has now been detached from the bottom of the screen, getting rounded corners and leaving part of the wallpaper to be seen. At the same time, the time, notifications and icons such as Wi-Fi and battery have gone to the top right corner of the screen. On the other hand, both the center of the widgets and the weather have changed position and moved to the upper left corner. Finally, at the top of the Desktop there seems to be a permanent search bar, which even seems to host information from other system applications, such as an upcoming meeting of the user in Microsoft Teams.

Of course, it’s still too early to know if Windows 12 will actually take this form, but regardless, we’ve learned some of the ideas that Microsoft’s designers are considering.
