iPhone 11 Pro vs. DLSR worth $ 7,500
Apple is very proud of the iPhone 11 Pro ‘s camera , not so much for hardware as for image processing, what it calls computational photography. But how can a smartphone’s camera stand against a DSLR? Professional photographer Matti Haapoja has decided to compare the iPhone 11 Pro with the Canon 1DX Mark II, a $ 7,500 DSLR.
At a glance, the untrained eye is not going to distinguish which photo comes from which camera. At a closer look though, the differences are beginning to become apparent. As smartphones cannot have the same sensors as DSLRs, the lens system is also smaller and the use of software is necessary for proper results. Remarkably, all three sensors of the iPhone 11 Pro fit on the surface of the Canon 1DX sensor.
Haapoja says he is impressed with the performance of the iPhone 11 Pro, suggesting to those who want to experiment more, some image editing applications that will make it even harder for anyone to figure out if the photo is from a mobile or DSLR. Recall that with iOS 13.2, Apple also brings Deep Fusion, which captures multiple photos in a variety of exposures, breaks them down to pixels and connects the highest quality pieces of the picture with even greater detail and reduced noise.
