Elon Musk to Twitter employees: ‘Get ready to work hard or quit’
It asks everyone to confirm that they want to continue
After mass layoffs a few days ago, Elon Musk is now ready to launch “Twitter 2.0 ,” according to an e-mail he sent at midnight yesterday to all remaining employees of the company.
In particular, the new head of the social network posed a big dilemma to all his employees. Either they will have to accept that Twitter will now adopt a “hardcore” culture with long working hours and high intensity, or if they don’t like it they can leave, receiving compensation equal to their salary for three months.
As it became known, this e-mail includes a form and asks each employee to accept the new work rules. The deadline for everyone’s final decision is Friday at 12:00 AM.
According to Gergely Orosz, a former Uber engineer who brought the matter to light, “Twitter 2.0,” as Musk describes it, will rely on developers writing good code who will now have a bigger role at the company.

For the record, in his first meeting with Twitter staff, Musk had stated emphatically:
What works at SpaceX and Tesla is people coming to the office and working hard.
As it seems, the tycoon wants to implement a similar strategy to those of his other companies on social media as well.
