Indeed, the movie “Community” is coming and it’s only a matter of time

It was confirmed by the creator of the well-known sitcom series, Dan Harmon

Creator Dan Harmon ‘s promise for Community was that there would be 6 seasons and a movie , but all this time the last project was on hold. But now, via Dan Harmon’s mouth, it seems like it’s only a matter of time before the Community movie.

The exciting news for Community fans comes from his new interview with Newsweek where he confirmed that the Community movie is coming, with Harmon saying, “I’m going to say now it’s a matter of ‘when.’ it was more accurate to say that it’s “a matter of when, not if, but the gears have been in motion for so long.”

However, Harmon, who is also known as the co-creator of Rick and Morty , wanted to temper the over-excitement of the Community community a bit by saying:

What I’m saying will probably drive people crazy when there’s nothing a year from now. It does not mean that the film will be made tomorrow. It means that there will definitely be now.

He also mentioned the fact that there is a draft of the story that the film will tell and that negotiations with production companies and streaming services have begun.

It is worth noting that the burning desire of the fans of the said comedy series was to have a continuation of the story through a film. After all, the last episode of Community that aired on Yahoo! Screen was closed with the caption ” …And a Movie “.

The series ran for 5 seasons on NBC from 2009 to 2014 and was revived for a 6th season on the Yahoo! in 2015. The Community cast includes Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Chevy Chase, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Ken Jeong, Gillian Jacobs and Jim Rash. It has won an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, while gaining a cult following along the way, with critics praising its direction, writing and lead performances.

Season 6 of Rick and Morty will premiere on September 4.
