CES 2023: Lamp that helps dyslexics read
It was developed by two physicists
The Lili for Life company presented the Lili 2.0 lamp which makes it easier to read on screens and is aimed at people with dyslexia. Together, he presented a prototype Pro model for professional spaces.
Lili 2.0 is an upgrade of the original model that was presented at last year’s CES and carries technical and aesthetic upgrades. The exclusive technology developed by Lili for Life involves a pulsating light that cancels the mirror effect and helps people with dyslexia decipher words faster, improves their understanding of written words and reduces their fatigue when reading.

The technology was developed by two French physicists, who were honored by the National Academy of Medicine of France for their contribution. They discovered that dyslexics, unlike other people, have two dominant eyes, creating a superimposition of images in their brains when they read. This creates difficulty for the reader in recognizing letters and words.
Recent WHO research estimates that dyslexia affects 8-10% of the world’s population. In order not to leave any window of misunderstanding, let’s emphasize that dyslexia has nothing to do with someone’s intelligence but has to do with reading difficulty. Early diagnosis helps children thrive in school and in their later careers.

Lili 2.0’s battery has been increased by 25%, now lasting 7.5 hours, while charging time has also been reduced. It has new generation LED chips for better performance, while it comes with an application on iOS and Android, so that the user can adjust the light to his own level of comfort. There is also customer service to help with the initial setup of the device. According to Lili for Life, 80% of users reported an improvement in reading and understanding text.
Lili Pro will be available in 2023 to companies that want to offer assistance to their dyslexic employees.
