Marvel’s Secret Invasion: We finally know when the next MCU series is coming to Disney+
It will be one of the Marvel series coming within 2023
The recent reports about the Marvel Studios series calendar were not the most pleasant for fans since from five series that were originally going to be released in 2023, we finally learned that their number has been reduced to three.
One of the series we will see this year on Disney Plus is Secret Invasion starring Samuel Jackson for which we finally learned the official premiere date somewhat quietly but also from the most official source. In particular, through the page of the series in the Disney+ catalogue , it became known that Secret Invasion will premiere on June 21, 2023 .
This date does not mean that it is delayed from the original release window that spoke of “spring 2023”, because the spring season is literally until that day (June 21 each year) as the summer solstice ends.
On the other hand, the second MCU series that we will definitely see on Disney Plus this year will be Loki Season 2 , which is rumored to premiere now in September.
A few words about Secret Invasion:
Nick Fury was missing for three years after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” and Maria Hill was asking for his help but he was missing. Now he’s coming out of the shadows again with one goal in mind: to prevent a Skrull invasion of Earth. Will he succeed or is it already too late for the former head of SHIELD?
The series which is part of Phase 5 of the MCU will consist of 6 episodes , with showrunner Kyle Bradstreet and episode directors Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim.
Among the cast of Secret Invasion we meet Samuel L. Jackson , Olivia Colman ( The Favourite ), Emilia Clarke ( Game of Thrones ), Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ben Mendelsohn , who will play Talos again, Christopher McDonald, while Don Cheadle returns as War Machine and Martin Freeman’s Agent Everett Ross.
Secret Invasion is due on June 21, 2023 only on Disney Plus.
