The seventh episode of House of the Dragon premiered a few hours ago and with it the spotlight also saw the trailer for next week’s episode, which gives us a taste of what awaits us.

Going into details, the show is once again gearing up for a short time jump into the future in “The Lord of the Tides” episode. In particular, it will be the last time that the series will change actors for the sake of a ‘time-jump’ and so the role of Aegon Targaryen will now be taken by Tom Glynn-Carney, Aemond will be played by Ewan Mitchell and Helaena by Phia Saban. All three characters appear in the new trailer, while the changes don’t stop there.

In case you need a refresher, House of the Dragon is the first spinoff show in the  George RR Martin universe , taking us 200 years before the events of “A Song of Ice and Fire,” where House Targaryen he was at his zenith. ” Gods. The cast includes:  Paddy Considine  (The Outsider, Peaky Blinders) who will play King Viserys Targaryen,  Emma D’Arcy  (Truth Seekers, Hannah) as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen,  Matt Smith  (The Crown, Doctor Who) as Prince Daemon Targaryen,  Olivia Cooke  as “Alicent Hightower”,  Rhys Ifans  as “Otto Hightower”,  Steve Toussaint  as “Lord Colrys Velaryon” aka “Sea Snake”. Joining them:  Sonoya Mizuno  (Devs) as Mysaria,  Fabien Frankel  (The Serpent) as Knight Ser Criston Cole and  Eve Best (Nurse Jackie) as “Sea Snake’s” wife. The show is created by George RR Martin and  Ryan J. Condal  (Colony). Condal, along with director  Miguel Sapochnik , serve as showrunners and executive producers.

House of the Dragon will consist of 10 episodes, at least for its first season. In fact, the  2nd season  has already received the “green light” from HBO, however Miguel Sapochnik announced his  departure  from the position of director and showrunner.
