Dark Souls 3 servers are down again

Just a month after his recovery

New ups and downs for the PC version of Dark Souls 3 , which was again left without multiplayer and online features.

Going into details, it’s only been a month since the long downtime of 200 days and now the servers of the beloved RPG title are offline again. This means that players cannot enjoy PvP matches, nor can they see other players’ messages or signatures for cooperation.

Via the franchise’s official Twitter account, Bandai Namco acknowledged the issue stating:

There is currently a confirmed issue with DARK SOULS III online via the Steam platform.

We are investigating the source of the problem and will update you as more details become available.

Thank you for your patience.

At this point it’s worth mentioning that only the PC version is affected, with console players still able to access all online features.

For the record, the problems with the servers of the Dark Souls games began in January, when Bandai Namco was forced to disable multiplayer for all chapters in the series, after discovering a serious security hole. The issue was finally resolved in August for Dark Souls III, several months after the release of Elden Ring, but the servers of the first two Dark Souls were never restored.

Let’s hope that with the resolution of the new problem that has arisen, the servers of the other two titles will also come back online.
