NASA: See the cosmic hourglass captured by the James Webb Telescope
JWST’s viral photo depicting a star at birth
A photo that quickly went viral on the internet and social networks was once again captured by the James Webb telescope . Its new highly impressive photo depicts a star that is “being born” as the process of its formation is not yet complete.
It is “L1527” located in the constellation Taurus and was captured by the telescope’s powerful NIRCam instrument , which specializes in infrared photos.
What is surprising though is that according to his schematic, “L1527” formed a beautiful cosmic hourglass. Although dated to be only 100,000 years old, the star in question is at an early stage and cannot yet produce its own energy.

“This image of L1527 gives us an idea of what the Sun and our solar system looked like at an early stage,” say NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA).
