A character from The Walking Dead wants her own spin-off series

Lauren Ridloff talks about the franchise

We’ve known for a while that even though AMC ‘s The Walking Dead will end on November 20th, there will be other spin-off series based on the franchise. The first and the one that has so far aroused the public’s interest, is the series starring Daryl Dixon, which will be filmed in France.

We also have The Walking Dead: Dead City with Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan , the new spin-off with Rick and Michonne coming in 2023 and more. Now, it seems that Lauren Ridloff , who plays Connie , would also like to star in a spin-off series focusing on her character.

She spoke to Entertainment Weekly and said she would like a show with Angel Theory’s Connie and Kelly:

I would love to see a Connie and Kelly prequel. Because I think the relationship between these two is definitely interesting. They are siblings and Kelly’s journey with hearing loss is interesting, as is their big age difference.
I would love to see a series with Connie and Kelly.

Information about the new spin-off series of The Walking Dead:

2023 will be full of “zombies”, then, as three TWD spinoff series are expected, “TWD: Dead City”, “Rick & Michonne” and “Dary Dixon”.

The Walking Dead: Dead City: TWD: Dead City “envisions the popular characters Maggie and Negan traveling to a post-apocalyptic Manhattan that has been cut off from the mainland. The ravaged city is filled with the dead and residents who have made New York their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty and terror”.

Daryl Dixon: The series is set in Paris, France where Daryl “wakes up and is somewhere in Europe trying to figure out what happened.

Rick & Michonne: This series presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Separated by distance. From an unstoppable force. From the ghosts of what was. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and what they were in a place and situation they have never seen before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Winners? Without each other, are they even alive – or will they find that they too are the ‘walking dead’?”

Spinoffs that will expand on Robert Kirkman’s post-apocalyptic zombie world “will satisfy core audiences and bring in new audiences,” Dan McDermott said during the AMC Networks summit. The network head added that the cable channel and AMC+ will focus on not making viewers feel “too familiar” with the long-running franchise.

What do you think? Would you watch a series focusing on these two? Tell us in the comments.
