MCU: It might take ten years to see something like Avengers: Endgame
The Avengers: Endgame broke countless records in film and basically gave a finale in the history of the first batch of heroes Marvel , completing the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, longtime MCU producer Trinh Tran has revealed that fans will have to wait a long time to see something similar to Endgame again.
It should first be clarified that the company has already revealed its plans for the fourth phase of the MCU. What we do know is that many of the “old” heroes will continue with their own solo films, while new ones will make their debut in the coming years. At the same time, many superheroes will receive their own series on our small screen , via Disney +, which is expected to debut in America this coming November. That timeline will last until 2021 and as Tran puts it, for now Marvel is focusing on the films it has announced, not the next big crossover event. This means it will take quite some time before we see a huge crossover from the MCU again.Specifically, speaking at CinemaBlend , Tran stated:
For the time being, we are focusing on the films to be released under Phase 4, obviously making these stories new, exciting and different. We want the public to be able to connect with them, as with our previous films in the past.
About ten years ago, it was our dream to reach the levels of Infinity War and Endgame. We didn’t know exactly where we would end up when we started, but it’s incredible that we were able to do that. Now it would also be incredible if we could reach that level again ten years later, so we will continue to do what we do and build the MCU and its connective tissue.
Now, obviously, we also have the Disney + side that shows how our characters live in this world. We have many more stories and more intellectual properties associated with the MCU. So it would be amazing if we did something similar ten years later.
In the end, it looks like the next MCU epic crossover is still many years away, so be patient.
