This is the cat that entered the Guinness World Record (VIDEO)
Meet Flossie who is older than any other human
Flossie looks like the sweetest cuddly cat but she entered the Guinness World Record for being the world’s oldest living cat . This distinction was achieved by the black-and-brown cat at the age of almost 27 years – 26 years and 329 days to be exact, the age corresponding to 120 human years , according to the new entry on the Guinness World Records page .
Of course, at the age sweet Flossie has reached, she can no longer see and is deaf. She was a stray roaming near a hospital in Liverpool when she was adopted by a hospital worker, where she lived for 10 years until he died. After her guardianship was taken over by his sister, who also passed away when the cat reached 14 years old.
For the next three years she lived with the son of the previous owner until she was forced to give her to a charity to get the best possible care she needs as an elderly animal. Speaking to the Guinness World Records camera, her current guardian Vicky Green said:
“I knew from the beginning that Flossie was a special cat, but I never imagined that I would be living with a world record holder. She is so cuddly and playful, especially sweet when you consider how old she is. I’ve always wanted to give older cats a comfortable old age.”

“We were stunned to see that according to Flossie’s veterinary records she was 27 years old,” Cats Protection branch co-ordinator Naomi Rosling said after the incredible discovery.

The oldest cat in history
But another cat had the grace and the… years to be declared by the Guinness World Records in 2010 as the oldest ever recorded in history. His name was ” Creme Puff ” and he had managed to live for 38 years and 3 days , that is, if he was human he would be 221 years old ! Creme Puff passed away in 2005.
