Mark Zuckerberg: WhatsApp is much more private and secure than Apple’s iMessage
Meta’s CEO talks about WhatsApp
Mark Zuckerberg , through his official Instagram account, emphasized that WhatsApp is much more secure and private than Apple ‘s iMessage . Specifically, it says it has end-to-end encryption that works on iPhone and Android , on group chats, on backups and on messages that disappear after a while.
All these he says are features that iMessage does not have and for this reason he considers WhatsApp to be better. For the past few months, a campaign has been running in America for WhatsApp, which informs people in the US about the importance of end-to-end encryption, so as to increase users on this application.
Watch the campaign below:
Will Cathcart , Head of WhatsApp said:
We’re expanding the campaign we started in January to tell people in the US about the importance of end-to-end encryption. 5.5 billion SMS are still sent daily in the US, but SMS is not secure.
