Windows 11: New Taskbar Changes Coming (PICTURES)

Microsoft started the experiments

Microsoft continues to develop Windows 11 in collaboration with the community through the Windows Insiders program, and so it has just revealed several changes it is considering for the operating system.

Going into details, the company is looking for feedback on some changes to the taskbar. More specifically, Microsoft wants to make the search more visible , so it’s testing a new blue icon or replacing the button entirely, with a more distinctive small or medium-sized search field, which is more like the Windows 10 approach.

The rest of the changes that Microsoft is testing concern the widgets menu, which will now have its own notifications . For example, breaking news will appear there, as you can see in the following images.

At the same time, the new dev version of the operating system includes a new version of the camera application , with a modernized UI and new functions, such as the ability to scan QR codes. Finally , the built-in Media Player of Windows 11 is upgraded , gaining the ability to copy CD discs and export the tracks to AAC, WMA, FLAC or ALAC files.

For the record, the biggest Windows 11 update to date, 22H2, is expected to become available to everyone this fall. This new version is expected to fix important operating system issues, for example bringing back File Drag ‘n’ Drop to taskbar programs. At the same time, many new features are in the works for Start, such as program folders and the ability to adjust the size of the pinned section.

At the same time, the Task Manager will be updated with a modernized design, OneDrive will be better integrated into File Explorer, new window snapping layouts will be added, a new feature to dynamically change wallpapers daily, a new feature to automatically create subtitles, etc. .
