The Midnight Club: The Netflix series may have been canceled but we found out what will happen in season 2
Mike Flanagan quite unhappy about the series being cut
A few days ago we informed you with relevant news that Netflix prematurely cut a brand new and quite popular horror series. We are talking about The Midnight Club by Mike Flanagan.
Flanagan stated that he was quite disappointed by this decision and through his tumblr he uploaded a text with everything that would happen in season 2. So, if you are curious to see how the series would continue, you can read the text by clicking here.
I’m very disappointed that Netflix decided not to continue with Season 2 of The Midnight Club, but as promised, here are the answers to the unsolved mysteries of Season 1 , along with our plans for Season 2 .
Midnight Club debuted on October 7th to positive reviews from audiences and critics. The reasons behind its cancellation are said to be ultimately the viewing figures it did, which were not what was expected despite staying for three weeks in the Netflix Top 10.
Of course, a Netflix series starting from the 4th place in the Top 10 charts is not the best case, and then it faced stiff competition from series that literally broke ratings records like “Dahmer” and “The Watcher”, together with “Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities” and “Big Mouth” among others.

In case you didn’t know, Mike Flanagan’s contract with Netflix is up and now the famous creator is leaving the service and is expected to start a new one with Amazon.
However, Flanagan has one more final series to deliver for Netflix, “The Fall of the House of Usher” which will be a modern adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s story of the same name.
The official series synopsis:
In a care center for young adults in the final stages, eight patients gather every night at midnight to tell each other stories and agree that the next one to die will give the group a sign from the other world. The Midnight Club is based on the 1994 novel of the same name, as well as other works by Christopher Pike.
To those who came before, to those who came after. To us now and to those to come: welcome to The Midnight Club, a new Netflix horror series from Mike Flanagan and the producers of The Demons of Hill House and Midnight Mass.

The Midnight Club is available on Netflix.
