Unison: Intel’s new app for controlling your phone from your PC

Modeled after Microsoft’s Phone Link

Intel has introduced a new app called Unison , which aims to connect PCs with Intel processors to your phones, be they Android or iOS.

Modeled after Microsoft’s Phone Link, the Unison app will enable four activities through the connected phone. The ability to make calls, transfer files and photos to and from the PC, send and receive messages and receive notifications.

The advantage we bring to the PC user is that he does not have to choose his device based on the PC he has. Whether it has an iPhone or an Android, every device will connect to this feature. When you’re on your laptop and you get notifications or messages on your phone, you’ll be able to leave it in your bag and not be distracted from your work flow.

There will be minor differences on Android and iOS, but the core user experience will be the same. For example, iPhone users will not have access to more advanced messaging features that Android users will have.

Initially, Unison will be released this year on ” select Intel Evo laptops ” with 12th generation processors in Acer, HP and Lenovo laptops. Later, the feature will come to a wide range of products.
