Amazon will invest huge amounts in India
Modi’s trip highly profitable
The trip of the Prime Minister of India to the USA is proving to be important for American investments in his country, as after the meeting with Elon Musk , Narendra Modi secured another huge investment, this time from Amazon. The company said in an official statement that it will invest an additional $26 billion in India by 2030, adding another $6.5 billion after its CEO Andy Jassy’s meeting with Modi.

The announcement follows Amazon Web Services’ announcement last month that it will invest $12.9 billion in cloud infrastructure in the country by 2030. Modi spoke of supporting Indian startups, job creation, exports, digitization and boosting small businesses to compete globally.
Recall that during his trip to the US, Modi also secured investment commitments from the American semiconductor equipment manufacturer, Applied Materials, as well as from the memory chip manufacturer, Micron Technology. Google will add an additional $10 billion to India’s digitization capital.
On the last day of his trip, Modi met Apple’s Tim Cook and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella and appealed to global tech giants to invest in India.
