Tesla: New sales record for its electric cars

More have been delivered than ever before in recent months

Through a report posted on its official website , Tesla revealed that it delivered more vehicles than ever in the third quarter of 2022 . Going into detail, its electric cars seem to have been on a roll this summer, with the company delivering a total of 343,830 vehicles.

Somehow Tesla bounced back triumphantly from the laziest second quarter of the year, in the context of which its statistics fell after the temporary closure of its factories due to the pandemic. It’s worth noting that Model S and Model X accounted for 18,672 of the vehicles delivered, while the remaining 325,158 were Model 3 and Model Y. In total, Tesla built 365,923 cars, leaving 20,000 of them in its warehouses to cover future orders.

For the record, some of these vehicles were still “in transit” when the quarter ended and are expected to reach drivers soon. Tesla has now made it a priority to reduce delivery costs and not to increase as much as possible the number of vehicles it delivers, as explained by its head, Elon Musk, through a recent related tweet, which follows below.

At this point let us remind you that the last few days have been quite full for Tesla, since among other things it revealed its Optimus robot.
