For a movie to surpass $1 billion in box office is a huge feat in itself. After all, it proves that it has gained mainstream acceptance to break the box office in such a way.
The majority of movies that have been out in the theaters for a few years never manage to do that. Now there are very few and – guess what – all of them are parts or sequels of larger and established franchises.
Another thing is to reach the $1 billion milestone as quickly as possible , because this proves that not only do people want to see her, but they want to see her…now! Just to mention that only 51 films in the history of cinema have achieved this commercial feat.
