Red Dead Redemption 2 broke Steam concurrent player record

Most players ever saw the game on Valve’s platform

Red Dead Redemption 2 broke yet another record for concurrent players on Steam . In particular, the Rockstar Games title seems to continue to bring in new players, with fresh content being released at regular intervals.

As reported by the well-known SteamDB page , on November 27, Red Dead Redemption II had 66,492 concurrent players on Steam . This is quite a large number – the largest he has ever seen – since previously the most players he had seen (on Steam always) was 55,000 .

This new wave of players is probably due to the “Steam Autumn Sale” since “RDR2” was on sale. In addition, Rockstar has also been giving out some in-game Christmas gifts for players, including triple XP points and double money through bounties.

Below you’ll find the dates and new freebies coming in time for the holidays:

  • Free Coat – December 6th to 12th
  • 2,000 Bounty Hunter Role XP – December 13th to 19th
  • 3 Gold Bars – December 20 to 26
