Microsoft Edge , Google Chrome or maybe Apple ‘s Safari ? What are the most popular web browsers for computers? Based on the data provided by the analysis service StatCounter , Chrome remains at the top of preferences and has 66.13% of the market.
However, Safari, according to the site’s data, once again took the lead over Microsoft’s Edge to become the second most popular desktop browser. Based on the new data, Safari is now used on 11.87% of computers worldwide, ahead of Edge with just 0.87%.
In 4th place we have Mozilla ‘s Firefox with 5.65%, while Opera is in 5th place and then Internet Explorer follows .

Although Safari is now in the 2nd place in the ranking and passed Microsoft Edge, it seems that it still has a long way to go before it catches up with Google Chrome, which has the first place by a huge margin.
However, it is worth mentioning that Safari is created by Apple and is only available for its own devices such as Macs and MacBooks. This means that users using Windows PC are not able to select and use this browser. So Safari could very well have a higher percentage.
Thus, it seems that those who own an Apple computer also use Chrome, since it is normally available on all of the company’s devices.
