Apple: Future AirPods may have screen and other features (PICTURES)

New patent from the company

AirPods were first released in 2016 to huge success worldwide, with each new model bringing many different features However, it seems that Apple has a lot of plans for the future and has filed a new patent that in all likelihood, its future headphones will not even need a mobile phone.

As we learned from 9to5mac , the company registered a new patent at the US Patent & Trademark Office , for a future case of AirPods, where on the front there is a touch screen, similar to that of the Apple Watch, while various applications are also supported.

Based on the description and the first leaked images, the screen offers media controls for your music, while you’ll be able to see the weather or maps, as well as receive notifications.

In addition, you will be able to switch apps very quickly by giving commands to Siri, while transferring a song from AirPods to a connected HomePod is also supported. It seems that the patent was not filed now, but in September 2022, however it has now come to light.

So, with all of the above, you probably won’t even need your phone to listen to music or open some apps like the weather. Of course, none of the above has been announced by Apple itself, but it seems that the company is preparing “something” behind the scenes.
