Greeks don’t put down their cell phones even on vacation

New research reveals that technology has become an integral “accessory” of Greeks

Our habits are changing as technology has become an integral part of our daily lives. A new survey even reveals that as Greeks we do not put down our smartphones even on vacation .

According to the recent survey conducted by YouGov, Greeks are not bothered by the use of technology, especially mobile phones, during their holidays. And this is because the opposite is happening, because they believe that mobiles and tablets improve their travel experience by keeping them in touch with their friends and social networks.

The data reveals that the majority, i.e. 59% of the respondents, do not hand over their mobile phone during the holidays . A percentage of 25% answers that they neither agree nor disagree with this opinion. Of course, there is also a relatively high percentage of 13%, which radically disagrees with this view.

According to the survey, 79% of citizens in Greece strongly agree that a phone or tablet can improve the travel experience. In the meantime, a percentage of 17% declares that they neither agree nor disagree with the above opinion, while only 4% answer that they strongly disagree with this attitude.

Mobile and  tablet holidays

“Having the phone/ tablet  with me, I feel that I won’t miss anything while I’m away”  answers 62% of citizens in Greece. Also, approximately 1/3 of Greeks state that they neither agree nor disagree with this point of view, while only 10% unequivocally express their disagreement with this position.

62% of Greeks who took part in the survey claim that they want to stay in touch with their loved ones even when they are on holiday, a desire that technology has made even more intense.

On the contrary, only 19% consider that the use of a smartphone or tablet “prevents them from enjoying their holidays”. Almost half of the participants responded that they either slightly or strongly disagreed with the view that technology is preventing them from enjoying their vacation.
