Final Fantasy 16: The next trailer is not long

As everything shows, we won’t have to wait much longer for the next trailer of Final Fantasy 16 , the new main chapter of the historic and beloved JRPG series.

More specifically, it is very likely that a new trailer for the game will be released in October . For the time being, the date has not been finalized, but the producer of the title and director of the MMO Final Fantasy XIV, Naoki Yoshida, said during the Tokyo Game Show 2022 that the next trailer will probably be published next month, emphasizing:

I haven’t had a chance to talk to the marketing or PR teams at all, so I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say this, but I think we’ll probably be able to release the next trailer in the next month or so.

For the record, the last time we saw the game was at Sony’s State of Play in early summer. In particular, the “Dominance” trailer, as it was called, had a duration of about three minutes with a lot of gameplay footage that presented the battle system, as well as excerpts from story cutscenes. In case you want to refresh your memory, you can watch it again through the player below.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that since then Square Enix has also talked about the structure of the game, which will not be a classic open world , while the company had also mentioned the battle system, which will not be turn-based in order to approach the younger audience.

Final Fantasy 16 is expected to be released in the summer of 2023 , exclusively for the  PS5 .
