No, the Huawei P40 will not have a graphene battery

A few days ago, Huawei France ‘s official Twitter account posted a post suggesting that the upcoming Huawei P40 will have a graphene battery . The tweet was even accompanied by a fan-made display of the device, something that made many hesitant to believe it. And it looks like they did well after the tweet went down and Huawei officially denounced it , noting that we shouldn’t expect such technology any time soon.

Even before the denial, the famous leaker Ice Universe had denied the post saying such technology is currently impossible.

Graphene is a breakthrough material that promises significant improvements in charging times and battery life compared to the lithium-ion batteries we have today. But with today’s technology it is quite difficult to manufacture. Even Samsung, which is ahead of other companies in their production, is not expecting any phone integration before at least 2021.
