Bruce Willis: New diagnosis for the state of health of the Hollywood star
Now his family is fully aware of what he is dealing with
In March 2022 Bruce Willis announced that he is putting an early end to his career, as the famous Hollywood star was diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that affects a person’s ability to communicate.
Now, his family has come forward with a new update on his health condition, which is not pleasant. And this is because doctors diagnosed that the 67-year-old actor suffers from frontotemporal dementia , also known as FTD or ” frontotemporal lobe degeneration “. This is a common form of dementia for which there is unfortunately no cure.
His wife, Demi Moore, posted the announcement on her Instagram account, along with a recent photo of Willis, who appears to be strolling along a beach.
In the post, the Willis family said: ” Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have received since sharing Bruce’s initial diagnosis. In that spirit, we wanted to give an update on our beloved husband, father and friend now that we have a deeper understanding of what he is going through.
Since we announced Bruce’s aphasia diagnosis in the spring of 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, challenges with communication are only one symptom of the disease Bruce is dealing with. Although this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis. “
