Elon Musk is bringing back banned accounts

Offers general amnesty

Elon Musk asked Twitter users if he should offer a general amnesty to accounts that have been banned from the platform, and users said yes.

More than 72% of the 3.2 million votes voted favorably on Musk’s proposal, so the mogul will reinstate those accounts starting next week. The only criterion will be that they have not violated the law and that they have not engaged in outrageous spam.

In other news, 50 more Twitter engineers were fired without warning. Twitter has started a weekly review of developers, asking them to submit samples of their work each week. So, the night before Thanksgiving, 50 engineers received an email saying they were being fired because “the code is unsatisfactory .”

Many more received a warning.

Note that if you do not meet expectations you will be fired. Please use this opportunity to restore our trust and demonstrate your contributions to the team and the company.
