The Platform: The sequel is coming from Netflix – First information
Production has already started
The Platform was released by Galder Gaztelu-Irrutia and Netflix in 2020 and very quickly became a “hit” for the streaming platform. The service’s most popular Spanish movie returns with its sequel, which will be bigger in every way.
This news came via Netflix’s official Twitter account, which revealed that The Platform 2 (or whatever it will be called) is currently in development and will be bigger and more… “disgusting” than the first.
These are the first images from the sequel to The Platform, the most popular Spanish film in the history of Netflix. Once again, Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia will be the director.
So far we do not know if any actor from The Platform will return in the sequel, however, it will have new faces, such as that of Milena Smit and Hovik Keuchkerian . The production has been undertaken by Carlos Júarez, Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia and Raquel Perea .
If you haven’t seen the first movie yet, the synopsis goes like this: In a prison, a platform of food descends from floor to floor. The upper ones eat enough, leaving the lower ones hungry and desperate. The revolution; Unavoidable.
