Project LLL is revealed
Well- known Korean development team NCSoft, which is widely known for Lineage, has now revealed its brand new MMO . We are talking about Project LLL , which aspires to combine the third-person shooter and MMO genres.
The game is in development for consoles and PC , with the team targeting 2024 for a worldwide release. According to the head of the project, Jaehyun Bae, the studio wanted to create something completely different from the looter shooters and battle royales that have caught the eye recently. Thus, it resulted in an open world MMO shooter, which will offer multiple game modes, combining various elements from NCSoft’s previous games.
Below you can see the hearty gameplay video that was released, totaling around ten minutes.
As you would notice, the technical side of the game looks very impressive, with the team standing on the scale. In particular, Project LLL will offer a huge open world to explore, with more than 30 kilometers of land connected seamlessly into a single environment. Unreal Engine 5 is used for development .
In terms of setting, LLL is alternate history sci-fi . Its action takes place in a destroyed Seoul, in a timeline where the Byzantine Empire of the 10th century and the technology of the 23rd century coexist .
The project is inspired by novels such as Founation and Dune, while also drawing themes from Blade Runner, Total Recall and The Man in the High Castle. For more, below you can also find the developer diary video that was given the spotlight.
