Keanu Reeves almost starred in Fast X in this actor’s shoes
Reeves’ flirtation with the Fast & Furious franchise has been going on for years now
Keanu Reeves ‘ flirtation with the Fast & Furious film franchise has been going on for years, when it was learned that the famous actor was in negotiations to participate in the “Hobbs & Shaw ” spinoff. In particular, he would take on the role of the film’s villain and specifically the voice behind the Eteon organization.
Now we learn that this flirtation of “John Wick ” with the family of Dom Toretto continued until the recent Fast X ( Fast & Furious 10 ) as he had discussed with the production of Universal to play the role of one of the villains of the film. The revelation was made by actor Alan Ritchson who plays Aimes in Fast X, talking about how he managed to land the role.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Ritchson wasn’t the first name Universal Pictures had in mind to play “Aimes,” The Agency’s new boss and practically new “Mr. Nobody,” who in the Fast X finale betrays Vin Diesel’s “family” and reveals his true motivations as he’s been working with Jason Momoa’s Dante all along .
I had a bit of luck and good timing. I was working on a movie with Hilary Swank at the time and it was freezing cold and they called me to say that things had changed with Keanu Reeves, who I think was originally going to play my part. It would definitely be hard to follow in his footsteps ,” Ritchson told EW.
So can you imagine Keanu Reeves playing a villain in one of the upcoming Fast & Furious movies? The way the franchise is set up, there can definitely be a role for “Baba Yaga” to play.
To date, Fast has had a good run – especially in international markets – with receipts exceeding $320 million dollars .
Fast X is directed by Louis Leterrier (Clash of the Titans, The Incredible Hulk), and in addition to Diesel and Momoa , Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Cardi B, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, John Cena, Scott Eastwood, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron .
Also, Vin Diesel being the star and producer of the films, spoke at the world premiere of Fast X in Rome, dropping the bomb that there will be a trilogy of films eventually, closing the franchise, with Fast X being the first part .
Fast X is already showing in Greek cinemas.
