iOS 16.2: The next update will bring something useful for those who have iPhone 14 Pro

Revealed through beta

iOS 16.2 has been in beta form for a few days now, and a few hours ago, Apple released the beta 3 version for developers. As it became known, this update will bring something very important, regarding the Always-On display of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max .

More specifically, with iOS 16.2 there will be two options to disable wallpaper or notifications when you have Always-On display enabled. If you choose not to show your wallpaper when you have this function activated, then you will have a completely “black” background and this will help the battery a lot.

How does Always-On currently work on new Apple phones?

With the display setting, iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max darkens the lock screen while still displaying useful information such as the time, widgets and wallpaper, while leveraging new technologies that make the display extremely efficient. The screen goes dark when you lock your device or leave it idle.

In addition, with the upcoming update, you will be able to turn off the display of notifications, so that only the time and widgets you want are shown.

At the moment we do not know when iOS 16.2 will be available for all users. For anything new stay tuned to Techblinders.com.
