PlayStation 5 – Greece: Available again without bundles on the shelves

Sample of a significant improvement in the available stock of Sony consoles

Sony has promised to improve global stocks of the PlayStation 5 , which it has also announced with a new advertising campaign .

It seems that the promise is being fulfilled for the Greek market as well, as several boxes have now arrived on the shelves in domestic stores that are not…empty, as they were some time ago for demonstration purposes.

The shelves are loaded with PS5 consoles two years and some months after the official launch of the console, showing that the situation created by the pandemic has been overcome.

The fact that large batches of PlayStation 5 have started to be made available in the Greek market means that Greek consumers will not only find PS5 bundles, which are more expensive, although they offer extra games, a controller or even a headset. The simple, plain PS5 packages are now available, with the Digital Edition (without the Blu-ray disc) starting at €549 , also due to Sony’s recent revaluation.

For the record, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition had debuted in November 2020, amid the pandemic. The huge supply chain problems that had arisen worldwide and in particular the lack of chips, resulted in Sony not being able to produce and ship to stores as many systems as were necessary to meet demand. The icing on the cake was the huge public interest that multiplied the seriousness of the issue.
