Samsung will bring clamshell phones to the smartphone era

The Samsung has no intention to stay in a single design with respect to the folding screens. The Galaxy Fold opens like a book, but the company’s future foldable phones may not follow the same recipe. During its SDC conference, it unveiled a new clamshell design for foldable phones.

The new phone remains a concept and we don’t know if we’ll see it in the market. It is a phone that folds vertically, with the demo showing video recording in full screen and then the phone folding 90 degrees with the video being moved to the top, while the bottom showing the controls. This device is at the same time a stand for the device.
