Samsung’s One UI 2 is available in beta
Samsung users have been complaining for many years about the company’s heavy and hard skin. All this changed with the advent of the One UI, which was arguably Samsung’s best era in user interface. The company now wants to extend this simplicity of use, taking into account phones with ever-larger screens and fold-down displays, the One UI 2 .
One UI 2 introduces the notion of a “projection zone” at the top of the screen and an “interaction zone” at the bottom, where the finger position is when holding a phone. One UI 2 also manages the visual field better, analyzing the brightness of the environment in conjunction with the visual content of the application we handle. For example, if your background is bright, One UI 2 will use dark letters (and vice versa) to provide the contrast needed to be able to read the letters.
Most camera modes are grouped, and finally there is the option of screen recording. All the features of the One UI 2 will be ported to the entire Samsung ecosystem, from its smartwatches to its tablets and laptops, and we’ll see plenty of TVs as well.
