Avatar: The Way of Water: The first reactions speak of an epic spectacle and a film better than the 1st

See you in the halls!

We’re almost a week away from the premiere of Avatar: The Way of Water , which is set to hit theaters after a 13-year wait. James Cameron ‘s film is coming and the first reactions from foreign journalists have arrived and they say the best.

The Way of Water is a big gamble for Cameron, as he has previously stated that he is “ready” to complete the franchise with Avatar 3, even if the second film is not popular with the public. Nevertheless, the first reactions from critics and journalists are here and many are reporting that it is amazing, intoxicating and better than the 1st film .

Vulture reporter Bilge Ebiri had this to say:

Avatar: The Way of Water is perhaps James Cameron’s sweetest, gentlest and most personal film. Perhaps his most emotional. It looks at his greatest hits, but it’s completely honest. It never leaves Pandora. He loves this family. In the end, I did too.

Collider’s Perri Nemiroff says:

Avatar: The Way of Water is incredible. I think James Cameron raised the bar with the effects, as these visuals were quite impressive. One impressive frame after another.

Erik Davis of Rotten Tomatoes said:

I’m happy to say that Avatar: The Way of Water is a phenomenon! Bigger, better and more emotional than the 1st film . The effects left me speechless. The story, the spectacle, the spirituality, the beauty – this is filmmaking and storytelling at its best.
