Twitter is making internal changes following the whistleblower’s accusations

Shield by CEO Parag Agrawal

After the accusations of Twitter’s former head of security , the company’s reaction was immediate and it is proceeding with internal changes. Specifically, it unites the disinformation and spam groups into one which will be called “ Health Products and Services ” (HPS). The team will be led by Ella Irwin, who was hired by Twitter in June.

Our teams need to focus on specific problems, work together as a team and no longer operate separately. – Ella Irwin

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal issued an internal email to Twitter employees defending the company.

Team, there are reports of Zatko, a former executive who was fired, for security, privacy and data protection. We are investigating the published reports but so far we have seen false accusations full of inaccuracies presented without much substance. I know this is exhausting since Zatko was in charge of these job categories and now six months after being fired he is coming to paint an inaccurate picture. None of this should distract you from the important work you have done and continue to do to ensure the security and privacy of our customers and their data. This year alone we have significantly accelerated our progress, thanks to the leadership of Lea Kissner, Damien Kieran and Nick Caldwell. Given the attention Twitter is getting right now, we’re guessing we’ll continue to read more of these kinds of headlines in the coming days — it’ll make our job harder. I know you are all proud of your work and the ideals that guide us. We will continue to defend our integrity and the truth will shine.
