iOS 16: Tips to make your iPhone battery last longer
Some settings to earn precious minutes!
With every new software update from Apple , there are many complaints from iPhone users about the battery and its lifespan. iOS 16 was recently released and it is no exception, so in this article you will find some tips so that your phone battery lasts longer.
It should be noted somewhere here that problems with battery life can be caused by the new features that Apple puts out every year, by various bugs or anything else. Whatever the reason, in this article you will find some suggestions that will make your life a little better, saving you precious minutes!
Turn off the new “Live Activities” feature
With iOS 16.1, Apple brought a new feature called Live Activities. This allows you to see the score of sports games or even your order live from your iPhone lock screen. This has the result that this function “eats” a lot of battery.
To disable Live Activities you must do the following:
Settings – Face ID and passcode – Under “allow access from lock screen”, find the “live activities” option and turn it off.

Turn off the Haptic Keyboard
With iOS 16, Apple brought a new typing feature, the Haptic Keyboard. However, even though many people like it, it can drain your battery significantly. Basically, if you turn this option on, the iPhone vibrates with each letter you press when you write a message.
To disable it you need to do the following:
Settings – Sounds & Haptics – Keyboard Feedback – Haptic (turn it off)

Lock screen without Widgets
iOS 16 brought many new features, such as the renewed Lock Screen, where you can put widgets to access your battery, notes or emails, more easily and quickly. However, all this “eats” a lot of battery. So, if you want to save some percentage at the end of the day, it would be better not to have a widget on the home screen.

Turn off Background Refresh
This option automatically refreshes apps running in the background over Wi-Fi or data. If you turn it off completely or have only the apps you use frequently activated, then the battery life will increase significantly.
To put the applications you want or if you want to disable this feature completely, then you must do the following:
Settings – General – Background Refresh – Disable

Enable Low Power Mode
This option is not accidental and significantly improves battery consumption. Using this feature keeps your battery better, and you can turn it on or off from the Control Center. If you have it turned on, it reduces background activity, limits screen refresh rate, reduces effects, and more.

Bluetooth
The iPhone lets you know when apps have requested Bluetooth access, and there are quite a few that want access to track your location, scan, etc. It’s worth making sure you don’t have some sneaky app connecting to your Bluetooth without permission and drains the battery.
To see this follow these steps:
Settings – Privacy and security – Bluetooth

Turn off iCloud Shared Photo Library
This new feature allows you to share your photos, with your own faces, very easily and quickly, while at the same time you can also edit the content, together with a total of up to 5 people.
This causes the iPhone to frequently scan over Wi-Fi or Data for new photos. You can, however, through the settings, disable the data feature and download only via Wi-Fi, whenever you wish.
