A few hours ago, PlayStation broke its silence, finally revealing the release date of the highly anticipated God of War: Ragnarok , which will not miss 2022 after all. At the same time, the company also revealed some important details about the various versions of the title. .
Among other things, then, PlayStation reminded PS4 owners who are thinking of making the switch to the next-gen console, exactly what will happen with the upgrade of PS4 copies of God of War: Ragnarok to the corresponding PS5 versions.
So, after the issue that arose last year with Horizon Forbidden West, PlayStation keeps its commitment and has confirmed again and explicitly that all PS4 copies of God of War: Ragnarok will offer the option of upgrading to PS5 . Thus, those who want to enjoy the additional functions of the DualSense controller, better graphics and everything else that the PS5 version will offer, will be able to upgrade by paying €10 . On the other hand, if someone chooses not to pay, they will still be able to play their PS4 copy on the PS5, via the console’s backwards compatibility feature.
It’s worth noting that the Digital Deluxe, Collector’s and Jötnar editions will include both versions in advance.
